Everything could happen in Urumqi at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Flying Tigers and 15th ranked Long-Lions had identical 4-6 record. This time Flying Tigers used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Guangzhou 108-96 on Thursday night. Flying Tigers made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Long-Lions' players. American point guard Chris Clemons (175-1997, college: Campbell) fired 34 points (!!!) for the winners. Senegalese center Tacko Fall (231-1995, college: UCF) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Nate Mason (188-1995, college: Minnesota) produced 35 points (!!!), 6 assists and 5 steals and Taiwanese point guard Ying-Chun Chen (182-1993, college: Liberty) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Flying Tigers maintains twelfth position with 5-6 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Long-Lions dropped to the sixteenth place with seven games lost.
