Regular Season Round 13: Suwon KT - KoGas 63-71

Everything could happen in Busan at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked KoGas and 9th ranked Suwon KT had identical 6-10 record. But Suwon KT was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Inchon 71-63 on Sunday night. KoGas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Suwon KT's 22. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Dae-Heon Lee (198-1992) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four KoGas players scored in double figures. KoGas' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-1997) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-1994, college: Clemson) scored 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. KoGas have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory KoGas went down to eighth position due to points difference. Suwon KT lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 11 games lost. They share the position with KCC Egis. KoGas will meet at home higher ranked Wonju DB (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Suwon KT will play against the league's second-placed LG Sakers having rather not much hope for a victory.
