There was a small surprise in Jeonju where tenth ranked KCC Egis (6-11) outscored 8th ranked Suwon KT (6-10) 109-88 on Saturday. KCC Egis well out of reach of Suwon KT shooting 71.7 percent from the field. KCC Egis had a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for KCC Egis especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 69.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Woong Heo (183-1993) who scored 26 points and 5 assists. The former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman EJ Anosike (201-1998, college: CS Fullerton) who recorded 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Seong-Woo Jeong (178-1993) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively. Five KCC Egis and four Suwon KT players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KCC Egis maintains tenth position with 6-11 record. Suwon KT lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. KCC Egis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Suwon KT will play against KoGas (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
