Regular Season Round 6: Penang SY - NS Matrix 89-98

An exciting game was played in Penang. Second ranked NS Matrix faced 4th ranked Penang SY. Guests from (6-2) defeated host Penang SY (4-6) 98-89. NS Matrix forced 20 Penang SY turnovers. It was a good game for the former international power forward Chun-Hong Ting (193-1996) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. The former international forward Yi-Hou Wong (196-1996) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Australian Jean-Luc Morel replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 24 rebounds and 4 assists and Jayson Lee added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Penang SY. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. NS Matrix have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-2 record behind leader Johor Tigers. Penang SY at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. NS Matrix will play against Adroit (#3) in Singapore in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Penang SY will play at home against the league's leader Johor Tigers and hopes to get back on the winning track.
