There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Shinshu BW (5-9) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Toyama G. (4-10) 70-61 on Wednesday. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was forward Brice Johnson (206-1994, college: UNC) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Cody Demps (193-1993, college: Sacramento St.) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Toyama G.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and Anthony McHenry (202-1983, college: Georgia Tech) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Toyama G. maintains seventh position with 4-10 record, which they share with Hokkaido L. and Ibaraki R. Shinshu BW lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost.
