Regular Season Round 14: Tachikawa - Gifu 80-81

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifteenth ranked Gifu (3-12) edged on the road 14th ranked Tachikawa (3-12) 81-80 on Saturday. American forward Jerrell Wright (204-1991, college: La Salle) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Noah Dahlman (202-1989, college: Wofford) supported him with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Even 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) did not help to save the game for Tachikawa. Point guard Ryusei Abe (181-1995) added 14 points and 8 assists for the hosts. Five Tachikawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Gifu moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with defeated Tachikawa. Gifu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tachikawa will play again against Gifu (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
