Regular Season Round 10: Seoul Thunders - KoGas 75-106

There was an upset when higher ranked Seoul Thunders (7-9) were rolled over at home by bottom-ranked KoGas (4-9) 106-75 on Friday. KoGas shot 63.8 percent from the field and made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. KoGas outrebounded Seoul Thunders 36-19 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 68.4 percentage. KoGas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five KoGas players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Min-Gug Jang (199-1989) responded with 15 points and American forward Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KoGas maintains tenth position with 4-9 record. Seoul Thunders lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. KoGas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Seoul Thunders will play against LG Sakers (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
