Regular Season Round 10: KCC Egis - Anyang 82-84

Ninth-ranked KCC Egis (5-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked Anyang (12-3) in Jeonju on Wednesday. The visitors from Anyang managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Anyang outrebounded KCC Egis 43-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. The former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) fired 22 points and 6 assists for the winners. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four Anyang players scored in double figures. American forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-1995, college: Arizona) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Woong Heo (183-1993) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anyang have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-3 record. KCC Egis at the other side keep the ninth place with ten games lost. Anyang are looking forward to face Seoul Knights (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KCC Egis will play against Wonju DB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
