Regular Season Round 12: Tachikawa - Kanazawa 60-95

15th ranked Tachikawa (2-11) was outscored at home by ninth ranked Kanazawa (6-7) with the biggest margin this round 95-60 on Saturday night. Kanazawa dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tachikawa's 14. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-1995, agency: BIG) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Yugo Okuda (176-1999) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Kanazawa players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Kunitatsu Ogata (179-1997) who recorded 10 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Tatsuya Sakai (168-1997) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kanazawa moved-up to eighth place. Tachikawa lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Gifu. Kanazawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tachikawa will play again against Kanazawa (#8) and hope to secure a win.
