Regular Season Round 12: Shinagawa - Okayama 64-91
Date: November 19, 2022
Bottom-ranked Shinagawa (0-13) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 13th consecutive match to fifth ranked Okayama (10-3) 91-64. Okayama players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Shinagawa was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-1991) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward DeVaughn Washington (203-1989, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Okayama players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds by American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Shinagawa. Bahamas Mark StFort (200-1988, college: Warner) added 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Okayama maintains fifth position with 10-3 record. Shinagawa at the other side still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Okayama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shinagawa will play again at home against Okayama (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
