Regular Season Round 12: Kumamoto V. - Fukushima 82-77

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Kumamoto V. (9-5) beat at home 6th ranked Fukushima (4-10) 82-77 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Fukushima's 36. The best player for the winners was American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-1987, college: Georgia) who scored 26 points and 8 assists. British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-1995, college: WKU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Tomonobu Hasegawa (184-1990) added 16 points respectively. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kumamoto V. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Saga B. and Nagasaki. Fukushima at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Kumamoto V. will again meet at home Fukushima (#6) in the next round. Fukushima will have a break next round.
