South Korea
Regular Season Round 8: Seoul Thunders - Suwon KT 66-62
Date: November 17, 2022
Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Seoul Thunders (7-6) won against at home 9th ranked Suwon KT (3-7) 66-62 on Thursday. The winners were led by American forward Marcus Derrickson (201-1996, college: Georgetown) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-1987) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-1997) did not help to save the game for Suwon KT. Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-1994, college: Clemson) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Seoul Thunders have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Suwon KT keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Seoul Thunders will meet at home KCC Egis (#8) in the next round. Suwon KT will play against Seoul Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
