Regular Season Round 8: Seoul Thunders - Goyang 72-81

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Goyang (7-3) defeated on the road 6th ranked Seoul Thunders (7-6) 81-72 on Sunday. The winners were led by international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) who scored that evening 26 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) supported him with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Goyang players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 8 assists by the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-1987) did not help to save the game for Seoul Thunders. American forward Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) added 10 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Goyang have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Anyang. Loser Seoul Thunders dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Goyang will meet at home Wonju DB (#5) in the next round. Seoul Thunders will play against KCC Egis and hope to secure a win.
