Regular Season Round 9: Koshigaya A. - Fukushima 82-76

Leader Koshigaya A. delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Fukushima (3-8) 82-76 in Tokyo. It was a great shooting night for Koshigaya A. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. It was a good game for American forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Shun Matsuyama (175-1996) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Finnish-American power forward Erik Murphy (208-1990, college: Florida) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Four Koshigaya A. and five Fukushima players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koshigaya A. maintains first place with 9-2 record, which they share with Ehime OV. Fukushima at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kagawa FA. Koshigaya A. will play against league's leader Ehime OV in Matsuyama in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fukushima will play at home against Aomori W. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
