Regular Season Round 9: Shinagawa - Yokohama EX 73-80

Bottom-ranked Shinagawa (0-10) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their tenth consecutive match to fourth ranked Yokohama EX (8-2) 80-73 on Sunday evening. Yokohama EX outrebounded Shinagawa 44-27 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Ryan Stephan (208-1994, college: CMU) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) who recorded 27 points and 4 assists and American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Shinagawa's coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Yokohama EX moved-up to third place, which they share with Kagoshima. Shinagawa lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Yokohama EX will meet at home Gifu (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shinagawa will play against Yamaguchi and hopes to get finally their first victory.
