Regular Season Round 7: KoGas - LG Sakers 62-76

There was no surprise in Inchon where 9th ranked KoGas (2-7) were defeated by fourth ranked LG Sakers (6-4) 76-62. LG Sakers outrebounded KoGas 38-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds. Filipino guard Kwan-Hee Lee (190-1988) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. The former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) answered with 20 points and American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for KoGas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LG Sakers moved-up to third place. KoGas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. LG Sakers will play against KCC Egis (#7) in Jeonju in the next round. KoGas will play at home against Goyang and hope to get back on the winning track.
