Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Wonju DB and second-best Mobis Phoebus had identical 5-2 record. This time Wonju DB used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Ulsan 86-81 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Wonju DB looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) who scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Kyungmin Doo (184-1991) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Gaige Prim (203-1999, college: Missouri St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Woosuk Lee (196-1999) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Wonju DB and four Mobis Phoebus players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Wonju DB (6-2) moved-up to second place. Loser Mobis Phoebus dropped to the third position with three games lost. Wonju DB will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mobis Phoebus will play against Goyang in Daegu and hope to secure a win.
