Everything went according to plan when second ranked Nagasaki (8-3) outscored on the road 7th ranked Tokyo Z (2-9) 84-65 on Saturday. They outrebounded Tokyo Z 48-30 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nagasaki looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Nagasaki's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Australian point guard Kazuma Okajima (171-2003) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Junki Kano (192-1988) added 14 points and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. Nagasaki have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains second position with 8-3 record having just one point less than leader Ehime OV.
