Very expected game when 7th ranked Tokyo Z (2-9) was crushed at home by second ranked Nagasaki (8-3) 109-62 on Friday. Nagasaki dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 32. Nagasaki forced 25 Tokyo Z turnovers and outrebounded them 54-28 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Nagasaki's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Kotaro Ohya (193-1994) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-1991, college: Ole Miss) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Nagasaki have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains second position with 8-3 record having just one point less than leader Ehime OV. Tokyo Z lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
