Regular Season Round 6: Seoul Thunders - Goyang 78-75

Important game to mention about took place in Seoul. Sixth ranked Seoul Thunders (4-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Goyang (3-3) 78-75 in the game for the fifth place. Seoul Thunders made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Seoul Thunders outrebounded Goyang 47-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Weon-Seok Lee (203-2000) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 21 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-1987) supported him with 23 points and 5 assists. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) did not help to save the game for Goyang. The former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-1999) added 21 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Seoul Thunders moved-up to fifth place. Goyang at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Seoul Thunders will play against KCC Egis (#7) in Jeonju in the next round. Goyang will play at home against Mobis Phoebus and hopes to get back on the winning track.
