Regular Season Round 3: KCC Egis - Anyang 99-93

The most surprising game was a loss of Anyang (4-1) in Jeonju on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by KCC Egis (2-3) 99-93. KCC Egis outrebounded Anyang 49-37 including a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Gwan-Hee Lee (190-1988) helped adding 23 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) with 32 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) scored 17 points and 6 assists. Five KCC Egis and four Anyang players scored in double figures. Anyang's coach Seung-Ki Kim rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KCC Egis is looking forward to face Wonju DB (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anyang will play against LG Sakers (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
