The game without a history. Al Riyadi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Dragonflies's 36. Al Riyadi players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hiroshima D.'s players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Wael Arakji (193-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 assists. Forward Hayk Gyokchyan (203-1990, college: F&M) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Al Riyadi's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) answered with 29 points and guard Takuto Nakamura (184-2001) added 12 points in the effort for Hiroshima D.Five Al Riyadi and four Hiroshima D. players scored in double figures.
