Nuwaidrat was defeated at home 77-89 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al-Najma (4-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with Sitra. Nuwaidrat lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Al-Najma will meet at home Al-Hala (#5) in the next round. Nuwaidrat will play against the league's second-placed Al-Manama in Manama and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 8 winless Issa Town was smashed by Samaheej on the road 91-64. Al-Manama lost to defending champion Al-Muharraq on its own court 66-79.



Samaheej - Issa Town 91-64

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Samaheej (5-2) crushed bottom-ranked Issa Town (0-7) in Manama 91-64 on Thursday. Samaheej maintains second position with 5-2 record having four points less than leader Al-Ittihad. Loser Issa Town still closes the standings with seven games lost. Samaheej's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Al-Ittihad.
