Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (LBL) added to their roster 27-year old American guard Tony Carr (196cm-1997, college: Penn State). He played last season at Al-Manama in Bahrain Premier League. In 12 West Asia Super League games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.9ppg, 7.6rpg, 6.8apg and 1.0spg. He helped them to make it to the group semifinals. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week.
In 2018 he was drafted by New Orleans Pelicans (NBA) in second round (51st overall). The former Pennsylvania State University star is in his eighth season in pro basketball.
Carr is quite experienced player. Thanks to Carr's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in seven different countries. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Rattlers), Denmark (Bakken Bears), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil), Italy (Cantu and Torino), Kuwait (Kuwait), Russia (Parma-Pari) and NBA G League (Erie BH). Carr won PIAA AAAA State championship title in 2015 and 2016. He was voted Pennsylvania Player of the Year by PA Sports Writers back in 2015 and 2016.
