Amman United (Premier League) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old Lebanese-American ex-international power forward Jonathan Arledge (207cm-107kg-1991, college: ODU). He started the season at Al-Najma in Bahrain Premier League. The last season season he played at CSM CSU Oradea in Romanian Liga Nationala. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 29 Romanian Liga Nationala games he recorded 7.5ppg and 3.1rpg. He helped them to make it to the Romanian League final after they ended regular season as second best team. Arledge also played 7 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 6.9ppg and 2.9rpg.
He represented Lebanon at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers two years ago. His team won Silver and he had almost 10 points per game.
Arledge is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in eleven different countries. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Surge), France (Cholet Basket), Greece (Peristeri), Italy (Latina and Piacenza), Latvia (Ventspils), Portugal (FC Porto), Romania, Switzerland (Red Team), South Korea (Samsung Thunders and Skygunners) and The Basketball Tournament (Monarch Nation).
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Swiss LNA Honorable Mention back in 2016.
Arledge graduated from Old Dominion University in 2015 and it is his tenth season as a professional player. He played also for George Mason University for 4 years.
