Champville (LBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American 202cm forward AJ John (college: UC Davis, agency: Octagon). John played recently at Al-Manama in Bahrain Premier League. In 6 games he recorded 7.3ppg and 5.5rpg last season. He ended the last season at Dorados in Mexican LNBP where in 14 games he averaged 8.2ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.3apg. John helped them to win the league title. But the most of that year he spent at Rayos de Hermosillo in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 16 games he had 14.8ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.8apg.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in nine different countries. John has played previously professionally in Belgium (Liege Basket), Greece (Agriniou), Hungary (OSE Lions), Israel (Maccabi Hod Hasharon), Japan (Swoops), Syria (Al Ittihad), North Macedonia (KK TFT Skopje) and The Basketball Tournament (305 Ballers).
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Bahrain League All-Imports Team back in 2021.
He graduated from University of California - Davis in 2019 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball. John played also for Pepperdine University for 2 years.
