Al-Manama (Premier League) signed 28-year old American forward AJ John (202cm-102kg-1996, college: UC Davis, agency: MSG). John played this summer at Dorados in Mexican LNBP. He managed to play in six leagues in four countries last year (!!!). In 14 LNBP games just recently he had 8.2ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.3apg. John helped them to win the CIBACOPA title. He also played for Rayos de Hermosillo (CIBACOPA) in Mexican league where in 16 games he recorded 14.8ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.8apg.
He is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). John has played previously professionally in Belgium (Liege Basket), Greece (Agriniou), Hungary (OSE Lions), Israel (Maccabi Hod Hasharon), Japan (Swoops), Syria (Al Ittihad), Bahrain (Nuwaidrat), North Macedonia (KK TFT Skopje) and The Basketball Tournament (305 Ballers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Asia-Basket.com Bahrain League All-Imports Team back in 2021.
He graduated from University of California - Davis in 2019 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player. John played also for Pepperdine University for 2 years.
