Defending champion Al-Manama (Premier League) landed experienced 35-year old American 208cm power forward Clinton Chapman (college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) for new season. Chapman played last summer at Sagesse in Lebanese LBL league.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in nine different countries playing on three different continents. Chapman is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Germany (ALBA Berlin, EnBW Ludwigsburg, Science City Jena and Rasta Vechta), Italy (Pesaro), Japan (Niigata Albirex, Jets, Grouses and Dragonflies), Kuwait (Kazma), Qatar (Al Sadd), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal), Switzerland (Fribourg and Massagno), Turkey (Vestel) and The Basketball Tournament (Austin's Own). Chapman played in the final of Big 12 Tournament in 2008 and 2011. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese NBL Honorable Mention back in 2015 and 2016.
Chapman graduated from University of Texas in 2012 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season in pro basketball.
