Bapco (Premier League) signed 27-year old American guard Stephanie Watts (180cm-1997, college: UNC). She moved there from Lointek Gernika Bizkaia in Spanish LF Endesa where she played this season, but it seems she will not stay with that team after all. In 22 LF Endesa games she had 11.8ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0spg. She also played 4 games in Eurocup where she recorded 5.8ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.3apg.
Part of last summer she spent at Queens in New Zealand league. The other team she played shortly was Lynx in WNBA.
Three years ago, she was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA) in the first round (10th overall).
Watts graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2021, and it's her third season in pro basketball.
She is a very experienced player. Watts has played on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia, and of course North America). She has previously played professionally in Australia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico (Cangrejeras).
Among many awards, she played in the final of New Zealand Tauihi Basketball Aoteroa in 2023. Watts was voted to ACC All-Freshman Team back in 2016 during her college time. She also played for the University of Southern California for one year.
