Al-Muharraq tabs Ra'shad James, ex Broncos

Ra'shad James

Al-Muharraq (Premier League) signed 33-year-old USA ex-international 185cm guard Ra'shad James (college: Iona). He recently played for the Broncos in the Venezuelan SPB league, averaging 8.3ppg, 1.9rpg, and 1.7apg in 15 games last season. James was a member of the USA Senior National Team from 2017 to 2021.
He is a highly experienced player who has traveled extensively throughout his professional career. He has played in fourteen different countries across five continents, including Canada (Shooting Stars), Croatia (Cedevita), France (Boulazac Basket), Germany (ratiopharm Ulm and Telekom Baskets), Italy (Ravenna), Korea (Wonju DB), Morocco (AS Sale), Poland (AZS), Turkey (Ormanspor and Yesilgiresun), United Arab Emirates (Al Wahda), Dominican Republic (Caneros), NBA G League (Stockton Kings, Westchester Knicks, and Birmingham Squadron), and The Basketball Tournament (Money Team).
In 2022, he played in the final of the CEBL and received the Afrobasket.com All-Basketball Africa League Honorable Mention in 2021.
He graduated from Iona College in 2012, and this will be his 12th season in professional basketball. He also played for St. Thomas Aquinas College for 2 years.
