Nuwaidrat adds Mallory to their roster, ex U.Atletica

Lamar Mallory

Al-Nuwaidrat Manama (Premier League) has added 32-year-old American power forward Lamar Mallory (201cm-96kg-1990, college: GSC) to their roster for the 2023-24 season.

Mallory will join fellow American player Sameen Swint, who is already on the team. Mallory was the top rebounder at U.Atletica in the Uruguayan Metropolitan league, averaging 8.5ppg, 6.5rpg, and 1.0spg in two recent games. He previously played for Etzella in the Luxembourg league.

He's a highly experienced player, having played in various countries across three continents. Mallory's professional basketball career has taken him to Europe, Australia, and North America. In Australia, he played for the Bandits, while in Germany, he represented Lich Basketball, Kangaroos, and SparkassenStars. Additionally, Mallory also had a stint in Luxembourg, playing for Arantia.

The list of past achievements is extensive, including his team's successful run to the League Semifinals in 2022. Additionally, he was honored with a spot on the Eurobasket.com Luxembourg League All-Imports Team in the same year.

He's a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered the top summer league for players aspiring to play basketball overseas.
He graduated from Glenville State College in 2014, and this will be his tenth season as a professional player.
