Al Ittihad Clinches Bahrain Basketball Association Cup

Bahrain's Al Ittihad team won the 2022/2023 Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Cup on Monday, February 27th, after beating Manama. Al Ittihad defeated defending league champions Manama 116-113 in overtime in the one-off final, after regulation ended deadlocked at 101 apiece. The final was played at the Zain Basketball Arena in Manama. Al Ittihad's Adrian Uter (201-F/C-1984, college: Hofstra, agency: BeoBasket) scored 35 points, followed by 15 by Mohammed Ghazwan, 14 by Sayed Mohammed Hameed, while Ali Ghadeer scored 13 points. Elijah Robinson top-scored for Manama with 34 points, followed by 27 by Hasan Nowrooz, while Ahmed Hasan Alderazi added 25. The team were handed their trophy and medals by BBA President Waleed Al Alawi.
