Premier League Round 6: Derby game ends with Al-Ahli's defeat of Bahrain Club- November 21, 2022
There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Premier League. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Bahrain Club - Al-Ahli 68-80 The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Manama: Al-Ahli (#1) and Bahrain Club (#5). Bahrain Club was defeated at home 68-80 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al-Ahli (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row, which they share with Al-Manama. Bahrain Club at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Sitra. Al-Ahli will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bahrain Club's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Manama Samaheej. Al-Manama - Al-Hala 102-85 The game between top-ranked Al-Manama (6-0) and 7th ranked Al-Hala (2-4) in Manama on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Al-Manama beat guests from Muharraq 102-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al-Hala. Al-Manama have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Al-Ahli. Loser Al-Hala keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Nuwaidrat and Al-Najma. Al-Manama will meet at home Al-Muharraq (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Al-Hala will play against Issa Town (#10) and hope to secure a win. Al-Najma - Al-Muharraq 82-87 The game in Manama was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Al-Muharraq (4-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Al-Najma (2-4). Al-Muharraq managed to secure a 5-point victory 87-82. Al-Muharraq have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Al-Najma at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Al-Hala and Nuwaidrat. Al-Muharraq will play against league's second-placed Al-Manama in Manama in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al-Najma will play at home against Sitra (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Al-Ittihad - Issa Town 110-97 No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Al-Ittihad (4-2) beat 10th ranked Issa Town (1-5) in Manama 110-97 on Friday. Al-Ittihad maintains fourth position with 4-2 record. Issa Town lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with five games lost. Al-Ittihad's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Nuwaidrat. Sitra - Samaheej 70-66 Rather expected game when 11th ranked Samaheej (1-6) lost on the road to eighth ranked Sitra (3-4) 70-66 on Friday. Sitra moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bahrain Club. Samaheej lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Sitra will meet Al-Najma (#7) in the next round. Samaheej's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Bahrain Club. |
