Al-Hala Muharraq (Premier League) signed 32-year old American center Nigel Spikes (208cm-104kg-1989, college: Marshall). Spikes played last season at Aisin AW Areions Anjo in Japanese D5 league. In 46 B3 League games he had 11.2ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4spg.
He won FBA championship title in 2014 and 2015.
The previous (2020-21) season he played at Fukuoka Rizing (B2 League) in Japanese league where in 22 games he recorded 10.8ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg in that year.
He is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Spikes has played previously professionally in Canada (Rainmen), Mexico (Manzaneros), New Zealand (Saints), Venezuela, Japan (Akita Northern Happinets, Fukushima, Earthfriends Tokyo Z and Okayama) and FBA (Miami M.).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Latinbasket.com Venezuelan LNB 2014 All-Imports Team back in 2014.
He graduated from Marshall University in 2013 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
