Defending champion Al-Ahli Manama (Premier League) added to their roster experienced 37-year old Jamaican-American ex-international power forward Adrian Uter (201cm-102kg-84, college: Hofstra, agency: BeoBasket). Uter is the second import player in the roster as USA Antonio Blakeney signed here earlier.
He played last summer at Vaqueros de Bayamon in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 39 games he recorded 11.0ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.8apg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals.
In 2006 he was drafted by Brooklyn Kings (USBL) in third round (22nd overall).
The former Hofstra University star is in his 16th (!!!) season in pro basketball. He was a member of Jamaican Senior National Team back in 2013.
Uter is quite experienced player. Uter's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in eight different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Uter has played previously professionally in Austria (Gmunden Swans), France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket, Monaco and Saint Vallier), Israel (Maccabi Rishon, Hapoel Lev Hasharon, Galil Elion and Hapoel Eilat), Italy, Mexico (Plateros), Portugal (Illiabum) and South Korea (Goyang Orions). He won Israeli National League championship title in 2010 and 2021.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Latinbasket.com Puerto Rican BSN All-Defensive Team back in 2019.
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Al-Ahli.
