Kenny Gasana (ex New Star) signs at Bahrain Club

Al-Bahrain Club Manama (Premier League) landed experienced 37-year old American (has also Rwandan passport) 195cm guard Kenny Gasana (college: Boise State). Gasana started the season at New Star in Burundian D1 league. The last season he played at Patriots in Rwandan league where in 6 Basketball Africa League games he averaged 14.3ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.7apg and 1.3spg.
He also represented Rwanda at the Afrobasket Championships five years ago. His stats at that event were 3 games: 10.7ppg, 5.0rpg, Assists-5 (4.0apg), Steals-2 (3.0spg), FGP: 35.7%, 3PT: 31.6%, FT: 80.0%.
Gasana is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America). Gasana has played previously professionally in Morocco (MAS Fez, AS Sale, IRT Tanger, Plazza Casablanca Sport and CRA Hoceima), Qatar (Al Wakrah), Egypt (Al Gezira), ABA (Texas Fuel), Rwanda (Rwanda Energy Group) and APBL (DE Eastern SG).
Among many awards he played in the final of Rwandan League in 2021. He was voted to Afrobasket.com All-Basketball Africa League 2nd Team in 2021.
Gasana attended Boise State until 2007 and it is his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
His game is described as: Very smooth, fundamental player with excellent athleticsm. Outstanding shooter from 3pt distance. Quality ballhandler with solid playmaking ability, can play multiple guard positions.
