Anthony McClain is a newcomer at Al-Hala

Al-Hala Muharraq (Premier League) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American center Anthony McClain (211cm-120kg-88, college: Cincinnati). McClain started the season at Al-Ahli. He helped them to win the Supercup. The last summer he played at Bucaros in Colombian LPB where in 11 games he recorded 12.6ppg, 9.2rpg (#5 in the league) and 2.0bpg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB 3rd Team.
McClain is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in eight different countries. He has played previously professionally in Malaysia (PRG Warriors), Singapore (Singapore Slingers), Slovakia (Nitra), Taiwan (Dacin Tigers), Tunisia (US Monastir), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), Czech Republic (Brno) and Thailand (Sting Rays, Mono Vampire, Hitech, Mono Thew and Thai General Equipment).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Thailand Basketball League championship title in 2015 and 2018. McClain was selected Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand Basketball League Player of the Year and Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Defensive Player of the Year in 2019.
He attended University of Cincinnati until 2012 and it is his tenth season as a professional player.
