Al-Hala adds Williams to their roster, ex Nyon

Al-Hala Muharraq (Premier League) added to their roster 28-year old American center Amir Williams (211cm-113kg-92, college: Ohio State) for new 2021-22 season. Williams played last season at BBC Nyon in Swiss SBL league. In 10 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 9.7rpg, 1.5apg and 2.2bpg. He helped them to make it to the Swiss Cup Semifinals. Williams also played for Vevey Riviera (SBL) where in 10 games he averaged remarkable 16.5ppg, 9.7rpg and 1.5apg.
In 2015 he was drafted by Rio Grande Valley Vipers (D-League) in first round (6th overall).
The former Ohio State star is in his seventh season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Williams' career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in seven different countries. Williams tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally also in China (Anhui Putianxingfa), Georgia (Rustavi), Hungary (Atomeromu), New Zealand (Hawks), United Kingdom (Worcester Wolves) and Uruguay (Williamsbraica).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won D-League Soutwest Division championship title in 2016. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Swiss SBL 2nd Team back in 2018.
