Dewayne Jackson (ex Ahly Tripoli) agreed terms with Al-Muharraq

Dewayne Jackson

Al-Muharraq (Premier League) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American 203cm forward Dewayne Jackson, college: Morgan State for season 2021-22. Jackson played most recently at Ahly Tripoli in Libyan D1 league. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Great season indeed as he was awarded Afrobasket.com All-Libyan League Import Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and selected to All-Imports Team.
The previous (19-20) season he played at Al Sharjah (also in D1) in UAE. Jackson contributed to his team winning the league title. He also played for Sigal Prishtina in Kosovan Superliga where in three games he recorded 11.0ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.7apg. The other team he played shortly was Homentmen (LBL) in Lebanese league. In four games he averaged impressive 16.3ppg, 6.8rpg and 3.0apg.
Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Jackson has played previously professionally in Bulgaria (Beroe), Lebanon (Sagesse and Champville) and The Basketball Tournament (HBC Sicklerville).
He attended Morgan State until 2013 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Jackson is one of the fastest, strongest, and best ball handling wings in Europe. Jackson has high stats in every category, and with his height, cannot be guarded 1-on-1 on perimeter. He is also able to shoot from 3 consistently, and can defend at any position.Very similar style of game with Kevin Durant.
