Chester Giles

Al-Najma (Premier League) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 35-year old Bahraini international center Chester Giles (211-109kg-85, college: Oregon State). Giles already started the season at Al-Hala. The last season he played at Hoops Club (LBL) in Lebanese league where in three games he recorded 11.0ppg and 10.0rpg (#2 in the league).
He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport.
He represented Bahrain at the Asian Championships in Manila (Philippines) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 12.5ppg, 13.0rpg, 3.0bpg.
Giles is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in China (Shaanxi), Indonesia (Pelita Jaya), Iraq (Duhok), Iran, Saudi Arabia, NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Texas Legends and Westchester Knicks), Bahrain (Muharraq and Sitra), Lebanon (Al Riyadi and Amchit), United Arab Emirates (Al Naser) and Philippines (Smart Gilas).
Among many awards Giles won Bahrain League championship title in 2012 and 2016.
Giles attended Oregon State until 2008 and it is his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season in pro basketball.
