Al-Manama (Premier League) inked 30-year old Lebanese international power forward Ali Haidar (203-109kg-90, college: Michigan Tech). He played the final of Qatari League last season with Al Gharafa in Qatari D1 league, he also helped Al Wihdat Amman to win the Jordanian League Champion title.
Haidar also played at the Arab Club Championships Finalist two years ago.
He is a very experienced player. Haidar has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). Haidar has played previously professionally in Canada (Saskatchewan), Jordan (Al Wihdat), Slovenia (Sencur Gorenjska gradbena druzba Kranj), Lebanon (Al Riyadi, Beirut Club and Champville) and Libya (Al Nasr). Haidar won Jordanian League championship title.
Among many awards he received Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Player of the Year award and Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Domestic Player of the Year award in 2019.
He attended Michigan Technological University until 2013 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
