Jerai Grant

Al-Manama (Premier League) signed 31-year old American power forward Jerai Grant (203-100kg-89, college: Clemson, agency: Octagon Europe). He played last season at M.Haifa in Israeli Winner League. Grant managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In 9 Winner League games he had 9.1ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.2apg. He also played for AEK Athens in Greek league that season where in 7 Basketball Champions League games he recorded 5.4ppg and 3.7rpg. Grant also played 5 games in Greek A1 where he averaged 3.0ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.2apg. The other team he played that season for was SIG Strasbourg in French league. In 9 Basketball Champions League games he got 9.8ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1bpg. Grant also played 15 games in French Jeep ELITE ProA where he got 8.5ppg and 3.7rpg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Grant is quite experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Grant has played previously professionally in Australia (Kings), Italy (Brindisi and Ravenna), Latvia (Ventspils), Lithuania (Neptunas), Venezuela (Trotamundos) and The Basketball Tournament (Power of the Paw). Grant's team won Greek Cup.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Honorable Mention in 2019.
He attended Clemson University until 2011 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
Grant could be described: An athletic inside player, who is undersized but has great timing for rebounds and shot-blocking. Has quick legs and leaping ability, he's very effective at the defensive side too. Great upside.
