Muharraq signs Lucas Nogueira

Al-Muharraq (Premier League) signed 27-year old Brazilian ex-international center Lucas Nogueira (213-102kg-92). He is the second import player in the roster as USA Kevin Murphy signed here earlier.
Nogueira played most recently at Fuenlabrada in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 9 games he had 3.6ppg and 1.8rpg last season. He also played 4 games in where he recorded 7.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.5spg and 1.3bpg. Nogueira also spent pre-season at the Raptors in NBA.
In 2013 he was drafted by Boston Celtics (NBA) in first round (16th overall). Nogueira won NBA Atlantic Division championship title in 2016 and 2018.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-World Championships U19 Honorable Mention back in 2011.
Nogueira was also a member of Brazilian international program for some years. He played for Brazilian Senior National Team back in 2011 and previously for University National Team in 2011.
Nogueira represented Brazil at the World University Games in Shenzhen (China) nine years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 4.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.5bpg.
Nogueira has played also professionally in NBA (Atlanta Hawks), Spain (Movil Estudiantes) and NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Raptors 905 Missisauga).
He could be described: A powerful inside player with long arms and great leaping ability. Can dunk with ferocity and grabs lots of dynamic rebounds. Need yet to have lot of work to do to capitalize on his gifts of size and athleticism, the same hes very promising and could easily become an NBA superstar player in few years.
