Defending champion Al-Muharraq (Premier League) inked experienced 36-year old American small forward Mike Harris (198-107kg-83, college: Rice). It is actually Harris' comeback to Al Muharraq as he has played here before. He played in the summer at Henan Shedianlaojiu in Chinese NBL league. In 25 games he recorded very impressive stats: 29.0ppg, 17.1rpg (#2 in the league) and 4.2apg. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese NBL Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year. The last season Harris played at Muharraq where in three Premier League games he averaged remarkable 24.0ppg, 16.7rpg, 2.0apg, 1.0spg and 2.0bpg. Harris has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012. Among other achievements he won Chinese CBA championship title in 2016. Harris received also Asia-Basket.com All-PBA Governor's Cup Player of the Year award in 2018. He is a very experienced player. Harris has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Harris has played previously professionally also in Iran (Petrochimi), Kuwait (Al Qadsia), Lebanon (Al Riyadi), Philippines (Alaska Aces), Puerto Rico (Leones), Ukraine and NBA (Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves). Harris attended Rice University until 2005 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
