Antwan Wilkerson (ex Guaymas) replaces Rasheim Wright in Samaheej

Samaheej (Premier League) inked 28-year old American forward Antwan Wilkerson (203-100kg-91, college: JCSU) to replace the American guard Rasheim Wright who already got released. He played in the summer at Ostioneros de Guaymas in Mexican CIBACOPA, but left the team in April. In two games he averaged 7.5ppg, 8.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg.
Part of last season Wilkerson spent at Isa Town where in three Premier League games he had 11.3ppg, 10.3rpg and 2.3apg. He also played for FUS Rabat (D1) in Moroccan league.
Among other achievements Wilkerson's team made it to the League Semifinals in 2018. He received also Asia-Basket.com Bahrain League All-Imports Team award in 2018.
Wilkerson is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Wilkerson has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Omonia), Iraq (Al Karkh), Oman (Al Ahli), Saudi Arabia (Al Noor and Al Salam), Bahrain (Al-Ittihad) and Bolivia (Bolmar).
He attended Johnson C. Smith University until 2014 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
