Al-Ittihad lands James Carlton

Al-Ittihad (Premier League) tabbed 26-year old American swingman James Carlton (203-105kg-92, college: Howard, agency: TSEG). He played in the summer at Philadelphia in Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas1, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball. In four ESL games he averaged 8.5ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3bpg. The last season he played at GS Petroliers (D1) in Algerian league. Carlton contributed to his team winning the league title and the cup.
In 2015 he was drafted by Fort Wayne Mad Ants (D-League) in sixth round (96th overall).
The former Howard University standout is in his fifth season in pro basketball. He received All-Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas Honorable Mention award in 2019.
Carlton has played previously professionally in Czech Republic (Usti n/Labem) and NBA G League (OKC Blue).
