Samaheej (Premier League) landed experienced 38-year-old Jordanian ex-international guard Rasheim Wright (192-91kg-81, college: of District of Columbia). He has a double citizenship as he also holds an American passport. Wright played most recently at Erebuni in Armenian League A. In 8 games he averaged impressive 23.6ppg, 5.5rpg, 7.0apg and 1.1spg last season. It was a very successful year in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Armenian League A Honorable Mention. Wright also spent pre-season at Mgzavrebi (Superleague) in Georgian league. The other team he played that season for was Zaza Pachulia (A-League) in Georgian league where in 8 games he had very remarkable stats: 23.5ppg, 5.5rpg and 7.0apg.
Among other achievements, Wright played in the final of Jordanian League in 2015. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Asian Club Championships 1st Team award back in 2013.
Wright represented Jordan at the West Asia Basketball Championships in Amman (Jordan) three years ago.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Wright experienced life in fifteen different countries playing on five different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. Wright has played previously professionally in Argentina, Bosnia, Iraq (Al Karkh and Zakho), Iran (Melli Haffari Ahvaz), Lebanon (CS Antonine), Mexico, Morocco (IRT Tanger), Philippines, Qatar (Al Gharafa), Saudi Arabia (Al Fateh), Tunisia (AS Hammamet), Turkey (Istanbul BBSK), Venezuela (Guaiqueries), Jordan (Al Riyadi and Ittihad Schools) and Libya (Al Nasr).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Samaheej.
Wright attended of District of Columbia until 2005 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
