JALEN ROBINSON

Thailand Jalen Robinson (206-F/C-93) had a very impressive game in the last round for Al-Hala and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 25-year old power forward had a double-double of 24 points and twenty two rebounds, while his team outclassed Sitra (#10, 3-6) with 33-point margin 92-59. Al-Hala is placed at 6th position in Bahrain Premier League. Al-Hala is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. In the team's last game Robinson had a remarkable 52.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al-Hala's top player in his first season with the team. Dalton State College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Robinson is in league's top in points (4th best: 28.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 16.4rpg) and averages solid 1.6bpg,61.9% FGP and 45.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American forward Lester Ferguson (208-F-88) of Al-Bahrain. Ferguson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 34 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Al-Bahrain lost that game 90-103 to slightly higher-ranked Al-Najma (3-5). Despite lost game Al-Bahrain moved up to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Ferguson is a newcomer at Al-Bahrain and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 33.0ppg (#1). He also registered 15.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Curtis Washington (208-F-91, agency: Haylett Sports) of Al-Nweidrat (#12). Washington got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for nineteen rebounds . Despite Washington's great performance Al-Nweidrat lost 84-87 to the higher-ranked Isa Town (#9, 3-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Al-Nweidrat can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Washington he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Washington as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kevin Rogers (206-PF-86) of Al-Najma - 26 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Hussain Busafwan) of Samaheej - 34 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Ahmed Salman) of Isa Town - 40 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Mohamed Nabeel (G/F) of Al-Riffa - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Mohamed Buallay (95) of Al-Najma - 19 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists
9. Yunes Kawaid (F-88) of Al-Riffa - 22 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Mohamed Kawaid (G-89) of Al-Riffa - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
