RASHAD WOODS

Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor (SBL) added to their roster 32-year old American (has also Bahraini passport) swingman Rashad Woods (197-100kg-86, college: Kent State, agency: Haylett Sports). He already started the season at played at Bank of Taiwan. In 7 SBL games in Taiwan he recorded very impressive stats: 19.4ppg, 5.1rpg and 2.0apg this season. The last summer Woods played at Global Port (PBA) in league where in 11 games he averaged remarkable 27.0ppg, 10.2rpg and 3.5apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Kuwait League in 2014. Woods was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Kuwait League 1st Team back in 2014.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Woods' pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in nine different countries. Woods has played previously professionally in Cyprus, Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas), Qatar (Al Sadd and Qatar Sports Club), Saudi Arabia (Al Ittihad, Al Ansar and Al Fateh), Tunisia (U.S.Monastir), Kuwait (Al Qadsia), United Arab Emirates (Al Wasl), Peru (Real Club) and ABA (Houston Red Storm).
He attended Kent State until 2009 and it is his tenth season as a professional player.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Rashad Woods is a very Strong G/F, an athletic player that has a mid range game, 3 point shooting threat, and strong penetrator that can finish extremely well at the basket. He is a good defender and he can defend 1-4 positions. He plays the game the way it's supposed to be played, hard and all out, on both ends and with a high IQ. At 6'6" he is a high flyer that loves to dunk and rebound. Great character on and off the court - a leader.
