Kadhem Majed
Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Al-Muharraq as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Al-Muharraq defeated 3rd placed Al-Riffa in Al Muharraq 76-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al-Riffa. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The former international forward Kadhem Majed (182-84) fired 26 points for the winners. American forward Sean Williams (208-86, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 11 points and 15 rebounds. American power forward Joseph Jones (206-86, college: Texas A&M) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds for lost side. Undefeated Al-Muharraq (6-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Al-Riffa at the other side dropped to the second place with 0 game lost. They share the position with Al-Manama. Al-Riffa will play next round against Al-Bahrain trying to get back on the winning streak. Al-Muharraq will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Sitra at home.
Bottom-ranked Samaheej (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 97-52 loss to sixth ranked Al-Ittihad (2-3) in Manama. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Sayed-Mohd Hameed contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Mujtaba Ismaeel answered with 8 points and 12 rebounds for Samaheej. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Al-Ittihad went down to seventh position due to points difference. Samaheej lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Al-Ittihad will play against Al-Nweidrat (#11) in Nuwaidrat in the next round. Samaheej will have a break next round.
10th ranked Isa Town (1-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-74 loss to twelfth ranked Al-Bahrain (0-4) in Issa Town on Wednesday evening. It was a great evening for Lester Ferguson who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds. At the losing side Ahmed Salman responded with 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Al-Bahrain maintains twelfth place with 0-4 record. Loser Isa Town keeps the tenth position with four games lost. Al-Bahrain will meet higher ranked Al-Riffa (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Isa Town will play against Al-Ahli (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
The game in Sitra supposed to be also worth to mention about. Leader Al-Manama (5-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Sitra (3-2). Al-Manama smashed Sitra 95-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sitra. It was an exceptional evening for Ahmed Ismaeel who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Al-Manama. Defending champion maintains second place with 5-0 record behind leader Al-Muharraq, which they share with Al-Riffa. Sitra at the other side keeps the fifth position with two games lost. Al-Manama's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Bahrain Youth.
